I still believe. Whatever bullshit and crappy turns I’ve encountered, I won’t let my hope and faith degrade into nothing, or worse, ugly cynicism. I have to keep believing - in the good in people, the possibility of people cleaning up their act for nature, kindness, inspiring others, laughter being cheap medicine, trustworthy friends, sharing smiles, faithful coupledom, concepts of democracy and equality, peace and love.
All these things will be exactly what I’ll need to keep going. Life may throw us cutting remarks and absurdly painful events, but that shouldn’t stop us from going for it all. Just believe. You might surprise yourself at how far you can go.
